Brewing their own beer has been a long-cherished dream of the owners, and it finally materialized last year when they won the city tender to lease Złoty Ul. The venue, spanning over 500 square meters, with 150 square meters dedicated to brewing installations, perfectly met their requirements. Roman Kamiński, one of the owners, expressed his excitement, saying, "Everything we had dreamed of had a chance to come to life, and in such a remarkable location!"
Browar Miejski Sopot offers five types of beer: ale, wheat beer, lager, dark beer, and flavored beer, including honey-infused options. The flavors are meticulously crafted by a Czech brewmaster who will be present at the venue for the initial months, working alongside the local brewers.
"We have great trust in our staff, recognizing their passion for brewing beer. It is essential to us that everything created in our establishment is done with heart and professionalism. While brewpubs are mushrooming everywhere these days, we believe our dedication will make each customer savor every drop and eagerly return," declares one of the co-owners.
In its heyday, Złoty Ul attracted students, businessmen, bohemians, and notable figures from the Tricity area. The venue catered to a diverse clientele, and Browar Miejski Sopot aims to replicate that same inclusive atmosphere. The interior design will feature an industrial, brick loft aesthetic, with a piano playing a significant role in creating and complementing the venue's character. Open Nights are also planned, allowing talented guests to showcase their piano skills and entertain others.
Significant changes are expected to the exterior of the venue. The owners will remove the veranda and orangery to make way for a terrace. Roman Kamiński shares his vision, saying, "We want to be there for the people, creating a special part of Sopot. With good music in an unconventional setting, where you can enjoy delicious and affordable meals starting from breakfast." The establishment will open its doors at 9 a.m., serving residents of the Tricity area and tourists from morning until late evening.
The menu at Browar Miejski Sopot will revolve around Pomeranian cuisine with accents of regional specialties, including Kaszubian dishes. The head chef, specializing in ethnic and meat cuisine, will ensure a diverse range of options. Guests can savor fish and seafood dishes, but the focus will be on meat, featuring
traditional Polish sausages, roasted meats, and hearty stews. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available, ensuring that all guests can find something to suit their preferences.
